Holly Havers
Holly Havers is a new Australian contemporary fiction writer.Holly grew up on a broadacre farm in conservative Central Queensland, dreaming of big city life. She escaped through reading books, writing stories, and performing complicated dance routines with her sisters in their lounge room.Holly has a Bachelor of Communication in Creative Writing from University of Canberra. For 20+ years, Holly worked all over Australia as a communications and community relations executive in infrastructure, construction and resources.In 2025, she quit her corporate job to become a writer. Holly’s work explores femininity, queerness, desire and karmic purpose. Holly mythologises her life through her work. She is on a lifelong hunt for meaning in the beliefs and patterns that shape us.Holly lives in Melbourne with her partner, kids and pets. Her coming-of-age queer fiction is out on submission, and her sequel is underway.
